Great idea for a side dish.
YOU WILL NEED:
1kg potatoes
1 tablespoon of oil
125g of onions chopped
1 tablespoon of plain flour
1 tablespoon of chopped parsley and chives
1 garlic clove crushed
freshly grated nutmeg
Pepper and salt
3 eggs
METHOD:
Peel the potatoes, grate them and rinse in a bowl with cold water. Drain the potatoes, place in a dry bowl, add the eggs and mix.
Add the chopped onions, the garlic, the herbs and the flour. Season to taste with the salt, pepper and a bit of the grated nutmeg.
Then mix well.
Split the mixture into small portions and shape into rounds.
Use a frying pan to heat the oil.
Then add the portions of potato cakes, fry them until golden colour.
Once the potato cakes are fried put them on a dish with kitchen paper, so the paper helps to absorve a bit of the oil.
Serve hot!
